I feel so honored to have been able to photograph this handsome little guy for the Slavin family. I love the wooden rocking crib that Kirsten brought, as well as the adorable hats! Liam was a great subject for me and gave me the cutest little stretches and smiles during the shoot. This photo shoot definitely geared me up for a new year of photographing more babies! It’s one of my goals this year to create many more portraits of babies in general, and become more known as a Reno Newborn Photographer. Here are just a few of my personal favorites from the session! Squishy babies make me so happy!

I just could not wait to share my favorites from Sunday’s newborn photography session with little baby Zayvian. I should be getting some rest, since tomorrow promises to be pretty hectic, but I just can’t help myself. Taking newborn photos for the first time was very interesting and I learned a lot. Apparently, the best time to do these is in the first week when you can pose them in crazy positions, like with their head propped up on their hands (like babies do that). I’m really happy with these, because although I didn’t put him in some crazy stork-harness-hammock contraption (you will find these if you do a search for “newborn photos,” we certainly DID place a baby inside a picnic basket – he still looks adorable as can be! Today I did my first official “newborn” session! I’m so happy to have had the honor to photograph my soon-to-be sister-in-law’s little baby boy, Zayvian. If you’ve been following along recently, you know I took some photos of this little guy in the hospital, but it was very different doing a full newborn session with him. Zayvian was an excellent little dude throughout the shoot (although Alayna has a lot of laundry to do tomorrow). Can’t wait to finish editing the rest – but here’s two for now!
