Mia is due in just a few weeks, so I’m so happy to share this Reno Family Photography Maternity session! We all drove out to the old apple orchard on a cold Northern Nevada afternoon, and were immediately greeted by a little group of deer. Matt accidentally hit his panic button for his truck, though, and they scattered. But – a few minutes into shooting and they snuck into some of Mia’s beautiful photos. It was magical. Then, as we walked further out into the fields, it started snowing lightly. THAT was magical. Snowy photography sessions are a dream, especially with adventurous clients like Mia and Dan. You can see in these photos how excited they are to be expecting their little baby boy. Congratulations, Mia and Dan! You two are going to be AWESOME parents!

Something very awesome happened on July 13 – Matt’s sister Alayna had her first baby – Zayvian Jamaal Mitchell. Luckily, the very night before, I shot her maternity photos. We had scheduled these last month, but Alayna wasn’t feeling too well on the particular day, so we canceled. I noticed a few weeks went by and we hadn’t rescheduled, so we headed to Bartley ranch on the 12th to get them done…and I’m so grateful that the little guy waited juuuuust long enough for us to get these. Like seriously…I’m so giddy that I had the honor of photographing Alayna’s maternity one night, and then her adorable baby boy the very next evening.
The photos in the hospital are just a sneak peek, so make sure to check back on Monday for all the photos – I’m so excited to share them all! Congratulations, Alayna and Jamaal!

This is a very special session for my whole family – my cousin Nicole is having her fourth baby! I’ll be surrounded by little boys soon. Matt’s sister is having a boy and so is Nicole. Plus lots of little boys already in the family. This was a quick session in Galena (Reno, NV) at my Aunt and Uncle’s house. They have a beautiful backyard that served as a nice setting for some family photos. Congratulations, Nicole – I can’t wait to meet your newest little guy :)
